A picturesque city located in Ukraine by the Dniestr river. In 1530’s it was bought by the queen Bona Sforza. Sambor as a county, was an administrative unit in the period of the First Commonwealth. Since 1772 it was located in the Austrian annexation. Later since 1919 until 1939 Sambor was Polish.
The best monuments are: the Town Hall, the Sambor Castle (non existent)
