It was teacher training institute, based on courses, which had been organized since 1915 at Karol Szlenkiers craft school. Władysław Przanowski was the founder of the institute. It existed since 1950.
An interesting aspect of this school was newly introduced subject - “hand works”. The “handworks” teacher explained to students the natural connection between work of the mind and work of the hands, by organizing special exercises, in which students, by creating various objects, fulfilled various ideas, at the same time as giving attention to precision, aesthetics and proper work organization.
Education took 2 years to finish. Jan Korcz attended this school.
