Gdansk is Krzysztof Kolberger's hometown and there it was decided to commemorate him. In Gdansk there is a High School number 9 where he used to go and then graduated. On January 21, 2015 he became a school's new patron.

The second place commemorating Krzysztof Kolberger is the square (which is named after him) near his family house - the district of Strzyża in Gdansk. It was opened on June 26, 2002.

On November 7, 2018 a group of students from XX High School decided to go there and clean up the square. After school everyone grabbed a pair of gloves, garbage bags and went to a designated place. Unfortunately, they found it in a very bad condition. Without any hesitation they got to work. After a half-hour work, the square looked brand-new.
