Halina Konopacka (1900-1989)
Just before the end of her sports career, when the volume of poetry "Któregoś dnia" was published, Halina Konopacka gave herself to another passion, which was a fashion. As a regular visitor to Warsaw salons, she could look at the current trends of female elegance, admire the most beautiful creations. As a model she posed in 1930, in her first created outfits. However, after her traumatic experiences connected with the Second World War and the death of her beloved husband Ignacy Matuszewski, in 1946 she opened her own fashion house in New York. Thus, in a more professional way, she took up this passion. She designed outfits of certain types, including ball or hunting.
