Commemorative plaque
On 5th December 1995 a commemorative plaque dedicated to prof. Jan Marszał was revealed. From that time every year during every edition of Mathematical contest of prof. Jan Marszał students along with teachers pay tribute to him by placing down flowers and lighting up a grave lantern.
Bench of professor Marszał
This year an idea to erect a monument of prof. Marszał sitting on a bench in school courtyard was developed. It’s future creator estimated the cost of investment for 12 thousand Polish złoty. Wherewithals are collected successively from the time of school’s 110 year jubilee which was held this year in October.
Honorary Citizen of the city of Łańcut
We are delighted to inform that professor Marszał - outstanding mathematics teacher of our school - was honored with the title of the Honorary Citizen of Łańcut. Decision was made during the 36th session of the Łańcut Council on 23rd November 2017 led by Mr Andrzej Barnat - President of the Council. Author of this project was Mrs Jadwiga Kuźniar - city councilwoman, student of prof. Marszał, graduate of the Secondary School no. 1.
The distinctions
For his notable achievements prof. Jan Marszał obtained many decorations, including: Knight’s Cross of Polonia Restituta, Gold Cross of Merit, the title of Honored Teacher of PPL (Polish People’s Republic).
