After Kolberger had moved from Katowice to Warsaw, he married to Anna Romantowska who was the film and theater actress. They starred together in ''Jeśli się odnajdziemy'' (1982) movie. Although they divorced later, they had a good relationship.

Krzysztof and Anna had one daughter named Julia Kolberger who is a great film director as well as an actress. She was born on July 23, 1978 in Warsaw. When she was a little girl, she used to visit her father's family house in Gdansk. She graduated from English Filology in Sorbona University and then the National Film School in Łódź, Poland. Now she is a director and has a few awards for her work i.a "Srebrne Jajo" (2011) for "Jutro mnie tu nie będzie" movie.
