After the end of the Second World War and traumatic experiences connected with the death of Ignacy Matuszczewski, and a dozen or so years later, also Jerzy Szczerbiński Halina Konopacka took up painting. Under psudonim Helen George she created wonderful paintings whose themes were flowers. All her works have been created for profit and are now in the private collections of their purchasers.
